Dr.
Bill Haddock, dba/Silent Partners
has
been open for business as a full time private enterprise since
1986 in College Station, Texas. We
offer informational and therapeutic services through counseling,
consulting, and publications.
We
envision a world
where people are self-confident, happy, peaceful, and loving as
they live and work with meaning and purpose.
To accomplish this vision, the staff offers a highly
interactive and confidential process of problem solving and
helping that is tailored to specific problems.
Silent
Partners
is a private practice which means that there is no outside
funding or regulation of our business (other than licensing laws
and professional ethics). We
are not associated with any governmental agency or corporation.
It also means there is no outside agency accessing our
files without your permission. Silent
Partners is determined to not partake in any HMO or other
managed care agreements that requires extensive review of client
records and discourages the use of insurance in payment for
services in order to protect your privacy.
Dr. Bill Haddock is licensed as a professional
counselor, marriage and family therapist, and chemical
dependency counselor. Dr. Haddock is principal owner
and primary service provider. He maintains an
independent private practice, although he shares
office facilities with other therapists and is
affiliated with several managed care networks and
employee assistance programs. Dr. Haddock holds a
Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from
Texas A&M University and a M.S. in Counseling and
Guidance from
Texas A&M - Commerce (formerly East Texas State
University). |
His expertise is in general mental health care, such
as substance abuse, marriage and family therapy,
stress management, depression, and suicide. Dr.
Haddock uses a cognitive-behavioral approach to
therapy that focuses on how thoughts and beliefs
affect emotional reactions. Family-of-origin
influences, childhood experiences, and spiritual
beliefs are addressed, as desired. This treatment
approach is compatible with 12-Step principles and
diverse cultures. Therapy aids, self-help techniques,
and homework between counseling sessions are
encouraged. |
Research on successful outcomes in counseling
highlights the importance of personal skills, traits,
and characteristics you already possess (40%); the
therapeutic techniques and skills of the counselor
(20%); and the client-counselor relationship (20%).
The average number of sessions Dr. Haddock sees
clients is nine (9). If there are additional
complications, then the average goes to seventeen (17)
times. Please feel free to discuss with Dr. Haddock any
concerns you have about the therapeutic approach and/or
therapeutic relationship.
Dr. Haddock also provides consultations and training services for
business, industry, and governmental agencies. His
services are offered with competency that is based not
only on education, training, and credentials, but also
on over 20 years clinical experience in providing
therapeutic services in the public and private sector.
