About Us

Dr. Bill Haddock, dba/Silent Partners has been open for business as a full time private enterprise since 1986 in College Station, Texas. We offer informational and therapeutic services through counseling, consulting, and publications.

We envision a world where people are self-confident, happy, peaceful, and loving as they live and work with meaning and purpose. To accomplish this vision, the staff offers a highly interactive and confidential process of problem solving and helping that is tailored to specific problems.

Silent Partners is a private practice which means that there is no outside funding or regulation of our business (other than licensing laws and professional ethics). We are not associated with any governmental agency or corporation. It also means there is no outside agency accessing our files without your permission. Silent Partners is determined to not partake in any HMO or other managed care agreements that requires extensive review of client records and discourages the use of insurance in payment for services in order to protect your privacy.

Dr. Bill Haddock is licensed as a professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, and chemical dependency counselor.  Dr. Haddock is principal owner and primary service provider.  He maintains an independent private practice, although he shares office facilities with other therapists and is affiliated with several managed care networks and employee assistance programs.  Dr. Haddock holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University and a M.S. in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M - Commerce (formerly East Texas State University).

His expertise is in general mental health care, such as substance abuse, marriage and family therapy, stress management, depression, and suicide.  Dr. Haddock uses a cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy that focuses on how thoughts and beliefs affect emotional reactions. Family-of-origin influences, childhood experiences, and spiritual beliefs are addressed, as desired.  This treatment approach is compatible with 12-Step principles and diverse cultures.  Therapy aids, self-help techniques, and homework between counseling sessions are encouraged.
